You must have a lot of questions and there’s a lot you need to know such as — how will your skin tone reflect certain colors? How much will it cost? What exactly will it look like? Do you need to bring in examples of what you want? How do you prepare for the process?

02. consultation
Come in and speak with us about your idea. There should be no pressure while getting a tattoo for the first time, or the 40th time. We want to help you feel totally comfortable with our process before talking about the design. Then, once all of your questions are answered, we’ll help you brainstorm and flesh out the piece — work on the placement, subjects, sizing, detail, and most importantly, how you would like to feel when you finally see the piece on your skin.
This is important because we need to understand your vision to ensure that we can turn it into beautiful art on your skin.
03. Choosing the right design
Now that you’ve decided you want a tattoo and understand the process, how do you actually design a tattoo? Do you have to draw one yourself or find one in a magazine? When you’re deciding on a design, the best solution is to look at plenty of examples and designs. Scope out Instagram, scroll through Pinterest, pop into tattoo studios and look at their portfolio books…anything that will help spark inspiration for your new work of art.
Keep researching until you see a pattern in what you do and don’t like. We’ll work with you to figure out the best tattoo design for you. We also offer custom sketching services from our studio in Buffalo, NY to put your ideas on paper and help you visualize your tattoo design.
04. Custom Designs For Your Tattoo
We pride ourselves on making sure each tattoo is custom to the person. So most of the time we will put out a drawn from scratch sketch for our clients so they can see first-hand what their piece will end up looking like.
The most important factor in choosing your design is being able to see realized versions of it before you get the tattoo done.
05. Getting Tattooed
So, you’re comfortable with the process, you have your design in hand, but what now? How do you go about actually getting a tattoo? Choosing your tattoo artist and getting the tattoo done is the last and most important step in getting a tattoo.

06. Your Tattoo Aftercare
